The Fifth Conference of Ministers of Justice of Central Asia and European Union countries on rule of law were held on the 7th of December 2017.
The Minsters of Justice of Estonia, France, Germany, Turkmenistan, Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Uzbekistan and others participated in the event.
During the conference the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Beketayev made a presentation on the improvement of legislative measures to ensure access to justice.
Additionaly, in the frame of the conference, the last achievements in the field of access to justice in Central Asia and European Union countries on the rule of law, in particular, the mechanisms for alternative disputes resolutions were analyzed.
Furthermore, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Beketayev explained the outlines of the provisions of the draft Law «On advocacy and legal assistance», where the problems and their solutions in order to improve human rights institutions and eradication of problems established in the field of advocacy were presented.
During the event the institutional reforms in the system of justice and understanding of a need of reforms on strengthening of access to justice were productively discussed.
